Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Tax Preparer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing individual & small S-corp tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and provide excellent customer service throughout the tax preparation process.

Duties

• Prepare individual and small S-Corp tax returns using Ultra Tax software
• Review and organize client-provided tax documents to ensure all relevant information is included
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, clarify details, and answer questions related to their taxes
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and explaining tax-related matters clearly
• Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all filings
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and handle sensitive data responsibly
• Assist clients in understanding their tax obligations and potential refunds or liabilities

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience.
• Strong knowledge of QB is a must, working knowledge of Ultra Tax is helpful.
• Knowledgeable in payroll and able to complete simple after the fact 941, RT-6, 940, & W-2s
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in preparing financial documents
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple client files efficiently

Pay is competitive and based on experience. Two additional bonuses are given every year based on individual and business performance.

Willing to give commission for current clients that are brought to the firm.

Office hours are 9-5 pm, M-F; overtime during tax season is required.
